Slot maker
IGT slots
IGT is one of the oldest and biggest US slot makers. Its predecessor Sircoma helped launch video poker in the late 1970s, and today it is best known for Wheel of Fortune, Megabucks, Cleopatra, classic steppers such as Double Diamond, and the leading video poker library. On July 1, 2025, funds managed by Apollo affiliates bought IGT PLC's Gaming & Digital business and Everi in a deal valued at about $6.3 billion. The combined company operates as IGT from Las Vegas, with Gaming, Digital and FinTech units, while the former parent company kept the lottery business and trades as Brightstar Lottery.
Known for
- Wheel of Fortune slots (since 1996)
- Megabucks wide-area progressive
- Cleopatra, Double Diamond and Red, White & Blue
- Video poker: Game King, Triple/Five/Ten Play, Ultimate X
- Multi-level progressives: Prosperity Link, Mystery of the Lamp, Tiger and Dragon, Magic Treasures Gold
- Cabinets: MegaTower, PeakCurve49, RISE55, DiamondRS
Headquarters: Las Vegas, Nevada
At sea
IGT is the best-documented maker at sea in our sources. Royal Caribbean installed Wheel of Fortune MegaTower games on Oasis, Allure and Harmony of the Seas (2018). Carnival said in 2016 that IGT Wheel of Fortune slots were on all 24 of its ships, and Carnival and IGT still run Spin & Sail slot-tournament cruises (the 2026 edition sails on Carnival Jubilee). IGT Super Star and Ultimate X video poker was reported on Norwegian Jade in 2023, and a 2026 cruise guide names IGT's Cleopatra and Lobstermania among slots you will see on ships.
