Multi-hand games (Triple, Five, Ten Play) deal one hand and copy your holds to every hand, then draw each hand separately, which multiplies both your bet and your swings. Ultimate X doubles the bet to 10 coins per hand, and each winning hand earns a multiplier for the same line on the next hand. That changes the right strategy and makes the game far more volatile. Game King and newer multi-game machines let you switch among dozens of variants (Jacks or Better, Bonus Poker, Double Double Bonus, Deuces Wild) and denominations from a menu.
Tips can't change the odds of any spin. They help you pick a bet level and a machine.
IGT dominates video poker, and players can check a machine's return themselves. Ernie Moody's multi-hand and Ultimate X inventions, made and distributed by IGT, sit on about 20,000 North American machines and earned three to five times house average. IGT titles won EKG's video poker award every year from 2019 through 2024 and the new video poker/keno award in 2025.
