Celebrity Cruises casinos

Celebrity's casinos are smoke-free and tuned to its more upscale style. Rewards lean toward cabin upgrades, spa and shopping credit, and free drinks while you play once you reach Onyx.

SmokingSmoke-free
Short answerCelebrity calls its casinos smoke-free, and says its fleet has more than 2,500 slots and 185 tables. Blue Chip Club earns 1 point per $5 on slots and 1 per $15 on video poker over an August–July year. Free drinks while you play start at Onyx (500 points), and an annual cruise starts at Amethyst (5,000). You must be 18 to play (21 in Alaska).

On the casino floor

Celebrity says its fleet has more than 2,500 slot machines and 185 tables across 103,000+ square feet of casino space. Many ships long used the name "Fortunes Casino." Celebrity's site now just calls it The Casino.

Atmosphere

Smoke-free floors. Celebrity's current Blue Chip terms give free drinks while you play from the Onyx tier up. Older reports said every tier got them.

Edge class

On the Edge-class ships the casino sits midship on Deck 4, set apart so you don't have to walk through it to get around.

Tournaments

Celebrity runs slot and table tournaments on many sailings. Check the daily planner on board.

Blue Chip Club

Celebrity announced a Blue Chip Club revamp in July 2024. Earning under the new rules began August 1, 2024, and the new tiers and benefits took effect August 1, 2025. Tier thresholds dropped sharply, but each point now takes $5 of slot play. The program year runs August 1 to July 31.

How you earn

  • Reel slots: 1 point per $5 played
  • Video poker: 1 point per $15 played. Celebrity's Blue Chip Club page and FAQ list $15 (it was $10 in 2025).
  • Table games: based on game, average bet and time played (Texas Hold'em, Cash Crane and coin pushers don't earn)
