Princess casino offers, explained
Princess turns the casino points you earn on one sailing into a Sea You Soon offer for the next: free play, a free stateroom, or both. Here's how the points chart works, when you have to book, who can sail on the offer, and what you still pay.
Play with your Medallion in a Princess casino and your rated points from that voyage set your Sea You Soon offer, which Princess generates automatically before the cruise ends. Princess publishes the chart as images: on a cruise of up to 7 days, 500 points brings $200 in free play and 3,000 points an interior stateroom plus $100 in free play. Longer cruises need more points. You book within 30 days and sail within 6 months.
A free stateroom covers the cruise fare for you and one guest. You still pay a $200 non-refundable deposit for each of the first two guests (returned as onboard credit once you board), taxes, fees and port expenses, and the daily crew appreciation. You must be 18 to play in the casino on Princess's US-based ships.
Terms with a dotted underline are explained when you tap or select them.
How play becomes an offer
Princess's casino program is Princess Players Advantage, and Sea You Soon is its end-of-cruise offer. You're enrolled automatically the first time you play with your Medallion in the casino. There's no form to fill in.
- Tap in every timePrincess's steps are to tap your Medallion device, log in to your Players Advantage account, and play slots or table games. "Every rated session counts." Play that isn't rated (Play the casino records against your account so it earns points. At tables, staff note your average bet and how long you play.), meaning recorded against your Medallion, doesn't count toward an offer.
- The earning windowPoints count from the moment the casino opens until 11:59 p.m. on the second-to-last night of the cruise. On a 7-day cruise, that's 11:59 p.m. ship time on day 5. If the casino is closed on the second-to-last day because of the itinerary, only the points earned before then count.
- This voyage onlyThe chart is based on "points earned this voyage." Our Princess page notes that players report the count then starts again from zero. On a back-to-back booking, Princess says you're eligible for a Sea You Soon offer on each segment.
- Play after the cutoff"All points earned after the earning window will still be factored into your other casino offers." The chart's footnote says all other Princess Casino offers count total voyage play.
- Checking your pointsSlot players see their points on the machine. Table players ask the casino host; Princess says table offers "are based on time played and average bet."
- The offer itself"Your personalized Sea You Soon offer will be automatically generated before your cruise ends." Princess tells you to review it in your Sea You Soon email or onboard certificate. If you didn't receive one or think it's wrong, Princess's FAQ says to email casinosupport@princess.com.
Princess doesn't publish how many dollars of play earn a point. Players report about 1 point per $2 on slots, and one player chart says $2.50; the figures are on our Princess page. At the reported $2 rate, the 3,000 points for a 7-day interior stateroom would be about $6,000 put through slot machines. That's our arithmetic on a reported rate, and it's the total wagered, not what you'd lose. For the expected cost of that play, see what a free casino cruise really costs.
The Sea You Soon chart
Princess publishes four charts on its Sea You Soon page, one per cruise length, as images rather than page text. Each has the same nine offers; only the points change. This is the cruise you're on now, not the one you'll book.

Points earned this voyage, from Princess's chart images (file timestamps March 18, 2026), read on October 21, 2026. Free play amounts are in US dollars. Princess adds that "offers are subject to change and may not be available on every sailing," and reserves the right to withhold offers or cancel the program.
Free play
Issued as casino credit for the invited player only. Slot credit goes on your Medallion; for table promo chips you go to the casino cashier. You have to use the credit before you can cash out, on one booked cruise, and it expires at the end of that cruise.
Drinks On Us and Princess Plus
Drinks On Us is for the invited player only, while actively playing in the casino during its hours: casino bar drinks up to $15 each (you pay the difference above that), up to 15 drinks a day, 21 and over for alcohol. Princess Plus applies to the first two people in the stateroom, under Princess's separate Princess Plus terms.
Drinks On Us here is part of the offer for your next cruise. It's separate from the free drinks players report earning during the current sailing, which our free casino drinks guide covers. Princess's FAQ also says other perks, such as onboard credit, "vary by sailing," so check your own offer.
Booking window and redeeming
Princess gives you 30 days to book and 6 months to sail, but its Sea You Soon page counts the 30 days from two different start points.
From disembarkation
In the "Earn points and unlock rewards" section: "You have 30 days from your cruise disembarkation date to book your offer and 6 months to sail."
From when it was extended on board
In the FAQ: "The offer must be booked within 30 days and sailed within 6 months from the date it was extended on board, on select cruises of 3 to 16 days."
The offer is generated before the cruise ends, so the second reading gives you a few days less. Plan on the earlier date, and if it matters, ask the host or Casino Reservations which date is printed on your offer. The FAQ's "3 to 16 days" also doesn't match the fourth chart, which is for cruises of more than 16 days; we read that as the length of the cruise you earn on, but Princess doesn't say.
- OnlineThe "Redeem your VIP Casino Voucher" page at princess.com/casino-voucher asks for your voucher code ("3-15 digits or 'SYS' followed by 8-15 characters") and your Player ID.
- By phone or agentCall Princess's Casino Reservations team, your Cruise Vacation Planner or a travel agent, and mention the Sea You Soon offer when you book. The terms give 1-888-772-6697 for questions.
- New bookings onlyOffers are for new bookings, made after you receive the offer letter. You can't add one to a cruise you've already booked.
- Pay in full"Full payment including any additional charges are due at the time of booking." All values are in US dollars.
- Once onlyThe free stateroom and the free play can each be redeemed one time. Changes or refunds "may not be permitted."
- Where you can sailUnless an offer says otherwise, Sea You Soon offers are for legal residents of North America. Princess's FAQ says offers earned in Australia can be used on qualifying cruises anywhere, and the other way around.
Who sails and which cabin
A Sea You Soon offer belongs to one person: "the single invited Princess Casino Member to which the Offer(s) is addressed," whom Princess calls the Invited Member.
You and one guest
The free stateroom "applies to cruise fare only for Invited Member and one (1) guest." More guests in the same stateroom may be allowed, subject to space, but you pay their prevailing fare and deposit. The FAQ calls this a "supplemental fee."
You have to sail
The invited player must be booked in and stay in the free stateroom for the entire cruise. "If the Invited Member does not sail for any reason but a guest does, guest will be charged the full cruise fare."
- Cabin typesThe chart offers four: interior, balcony, mini-suite and suite. There's no oceanview level. "Suite eligibility varies by cruise," so check which suite categories your sailing allows.
- If the cabin type is sold outAvailability isn't guaranteed, and offers are capacity controlled regardless of how many cabins are free. If the stateroom type offered is unavailable, Princess may apply the offer to the next available lower type.
- Value varies"Approximate value of free stateroom varies." Princess points you to its website or Casino Reservations for a specific figure.
- One offer per person"If a mailing address receives multiple offers, the booking guest can only book an offer addressed to them." No guest may hold more than 10 staterooms at once, under any offer.
- Not transferableOffers and their parts can't be transferred, swapped or exchanged for cash.
Combining offers
Princess's wording leaves little room. The chart says offers "cannot be combined with any other casino offers," and the terms say they "may not be combined with other offers or promotions (aside from those listed herein)."
- Inside one offerThe parts listed on your offer go together: the stateroom, the free play and, at the higher levels, Drinks On Us or Princess Plus.
- Fare salesPrincess's casino pages don't say whether a Sea You Soon booking can also take a public fare sale. Since the terms rule out "other offers or promotions," assume not unless Casino Reservations confirms it.
- Tier MatchMatched offers are also "not combinable with any other offer."
- Captain's CirclePrincess's casino pages don't say that casino play or a Sea You Soon booking earns anything in Captain's Circle, Princess's cruise loyalty program. Our casino comps vs cruise loyalty guide explains the difference.
Tier Match
If you haven't played on Princess yet, Tier Match is the way in. You submit your best offer from a land casino or another cruise line, except Carnival Cruise Line, through Princess's form. New and existing Princess guests can apply.
- Who can applyLegal residents of the 50 US states or DC, aged 21 or older, who are eligible for passage. The program runs "until at least December 31, 2026."
- The replyAbout seven business days after you submit, and only if Princess has an offer for you. Nothing is guaranteed.
- What it coversOffers are for the first and second guests; third and fourth guests pay prevailing rates. Princess puts the approximate value of a free room at $300 to $7,000.
- What it costsA $200 non-refundable deposit per guest at booking, plus taxes, fees and port expenses, which Princess says range from $63.14 to $427.64 for these offers. Onboard credit is $200 per person, up to $400 per stateroom.
- DeadlinesBook within the timeline on your offer, or it expires. Change fees and cancellation penalties apply.
How matches work across the lines, and how they compare with going through an independent host or a travel agent, is in our matches guide.
What changed in 2025
Princess raised the points for most Sea You Soon offers in September 2025. Princess's pages now show only the current chart, so the earlier figures here are reported, as on our Princess page.
| Offer and cruise length | Before Sept 2025 Reported | Princess's chart now |
|---|---|---|
| Interior + $100 free play, up to 7 days | 2,000 | 3,000 |
| Balcony + $500 free play, up to 7 days | 6,500 | 9,000 |
| Balcony + $1,500 free play, 11 to 16 days | 20,000 | 35,000 |
| Mini-suite + $2,500 free play, 11 to 16 days | 50,000 | 75,000 |
| Suite, 11 to 16 days | 85,000 | 100,000 |
free2cruise reported in September 2025 that increases ranged from 17% to 75%, with the largest on balcony offers for longer cruises, and that interior plus $400 free play and mini-suite plus $2,000 saw little or no change on some cruise lengths. The current numbers in the right-hand column match Princess's own chart.
What you still pay
The free stateroom is cruise fare only. Princess's terms say it "excludes Government Taxes & Fees and Required Cruise Fees & Expenses," the deposit, and "other cruise related expenses and travel expenses."
| Cost | Official figure | Where it's from |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | $200 non-refundable for each of the first and second guests, due at booking. Returned as non-refundable onboard credit (Money added to your cruise account to spend on board, for example on drinks, dining or the spa. It usually can't be withdrawn as cash.) once the invited player boards. | Sea You Soon terms |
| Taxes, fees and port expenses | Added to your booking. No amount is published for Sea You Soon offers. | Sea You Soon FAQ and terms |
| Crew appreciation | $18.00 per person per day for most staterooms; $19.00 for mini-suites, cabanas and Reserve Collection; $20.00 for suites. Added to your onboard account automatically. | Crew Appreciation and Service Charge Policy |
| Service charge | 20% on drinks, dining room and specialty dining purchases and other extras not in the fare. | Crew Appreciation and Service Charge Policy |
| Extra guests | Prevailing cruise fare and deposit for a third or fourth guest. | Sea You Soon terms |
Worked example: a 7-day interior for two
Crew appreciation for two guests in an interior stateroom is 2 × 7 × $18 = $252, before taxes, fees and port expenses. On top of that you pay 2 × $200 = $400 in deposits at booking, which come back as $400 of onboard credit when you board. That credit can't be refunded, so it only helps if you spend it on board. Our true-cost guide works through full examples and compares the lines.
Crew appreciation doesn't apply to residents of Australia or New Zealand on voyages departing from those regions, and you can adjust it on board before you settle your account. An offer also doesn't change how much you're likely to lose earning the next one. See the economics of casino cruises and the math behind casino games.
Age rules
18 to play
"The legal age for participating in casino gaming, bingo and other gambling activities on U.S.-based Princess ships is 18+ years old," with government-issued photo ID to verify it. Princess notes that age limits can change by region; the Japan region requires guests to be at least 20 instead of 18. Guests under 18 aren't allowed in the casino after 11:00 p.m.
21 for drinks and Tier Match
You must be 21 to buy or drink alcohol on board, which applies to Drinks On Us. Tier Match is for those 21 and over, and its terms add that invited guests under 21 must travel with a relative or guardian aged 25 or older. Princess's general rule is that guests under 21 share a stateroom with someone 21 or older.
Princess's Sea You Soon terms don't set a separate minimum age for the offer itself. Princess's age page was last updated August 8, 2025.
Before you book
- Tap your MedallionOnly rated play counts. Tap in at every machine and ask to be rated at tables.
- Know the cutoffPoints for Sea You Soon stop at 11:59 p.m. on the second-to-last night. Check your total on the machine or with the host before then.
- Use the right chartMatch the points to the length of the cruise you're on now.
- Count 30 days from the earlier datePrincess gives two start points for the booking window. Book before the earlier one.
- Confirm the cabinAsk which suite categories your sailing allows, and what happens if the type offered is sold out.
- Price the extrasThe $200 deposit per guest, taxes and fees, and crew appreciation for everyone in the stateroom.
- Keep recordsSave your offer and confirmation, and request a win/loss statement after the cruise for your taxes.
A casino offer has no value until you sail, and the play it takes to earn one can cost more than the offer saves. Set a budget before you board.
