Margaritaville casino offers, explained
Margaritaville at Sea publishes its Casino Players Club tiers and perks, but very little about the cruise offers themselves. Here's what the line does say about who gets an offer, who sails on it, free play, Match My Offer, and what you still pay.
The Casino Players Club has four tiers, set by Tier Points earned from October 1 to September 30: Bronze (free to join), Silver (1,000), Gold (7,500) and Platinum (15,000). Every tier can get free play and "complimentary or discounted" cruise offers, but Margaritaville says they're "based on rated casino play and issued at Margaritaville at Sea's discretion," and tier status alone doesn't guarantee one. From Silver, the benefits grid adds complimentary cruise fare for you and up to three guests in the same stateroom.
Margaritaville doesn't publish how much play earns a point, a sample offer, cabin categories or booking windows. Gratuities of $22 per person per night ($25 in suites) are added to your account, and Paradise adds a $15 per person per night fuel supplement. Taxes and fees "may apply" on a comped fare.
Terms with a dotted underline are explained when you tap or select them.
How offers are decided
The Players Club terms (section 9, "Promotional Offers") say members may receive offers based on "Tier Status, gaming activity, theoretical gaming value, actual casino win/loss, travel history, geographic market, promotional criteria, or other factors determined by the Company."
- Not the same for everyoneOne member getting an offer "does not guarantee that another member will receive the same or a similar offer." Offers may be personalized.
- Win/loss countsThe list includes your actual casino win/loss as well as theoretical gaming value (Theo: the amount the casino expects you to lose, worked out as the total you bet times the house edge.) (theo).
- Each offer has its own termsThe terms say an offer may carry booking requirements, qualifying gaming requirements, expiration dates, blackout dates, capacity controls, cabin restrictions, free slot play, table-game promotional play and other conditions. Where an offer's own terms differ from the program terms, the offer's terms win.
- ErrorsMargaritaville can correct, cancel or modify an offer issued because of an error, a system fault or incorrect data.
- Asking about offersThe casino page tells players to call the Casino Specialist at 877-806-7447 "to find out how you can earn exclusive Casino Players Benefits." There's also a Players Club email list sign-up for deals and news.
What we couldn't find on any official page: how offers are delivered (email, mail or on board), a sample offer or offer list, which cabin categories are offered, how far ahead you must book, or a points-per-offer chart. If you have an offer, its own terms are the ones to read.
Tiers and the cruise benefits on each
Tier Points are earned from October 1 to September 30 and reset to zero each October 1. Promotional, bonus, complimentary and manually adjusted points don't count toward tier. The full perk list is on our Margaritaville at Sea page; this table keeps to cruise and casino benefits.
| Tier | Tier Points | Cruise and casino benefits on the grid |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Join free | Redeem Reward Points for free play; free play offers; drinks while playing; complimentary or discounted cruise offers; casino promotions and events. The offers, cruises and events are at Margaritaville's discretion. |
| Silver | 1,000 | Adds complimentary cruise fare for you and up to 3 guests, up to $25 each in arcade, shore excursion and spa credit per sailing, the Unlimited Soda Package and one bingo card per sailing. |
| Gold | 7,500 | Up to $50 in each credit, the Ultimate Beverage Chill package, one specialty dining experience, VIP check-in and disembarkation, priority theater seating, a welcome gift, Basic Wi-Fi and one bingo card per sailing. |
| Platinum | 15,000 | Up to $100 in each credit, the Prime Dining Package, Premium Wi-Fi, a personal VIP host who helps with cruise bookings, an invitation to an annual Platinum event, laundry, room service, up to two bingo cards, and Sail with Friends (an extra cabin; see who sails). |
- Moving up mid-yearYou can move up a tier during the earning period once the threshold is "reached and verified." If that happens on a cruise, some of the new tier's benefits may start only on your next sailing.
- Credits can be higherFor arcade, shore excursion and spa credit, the terms say amounts "may exceed the stated Tier benefit based on rated casino play."
- Subject to availabilityTier benefits can vary by ship and sailing, and Margaritaville may substitute a benefit it considers "reasonably comparable."
- How points are earnedNot published. The terms say rates "may vary and may be changed" and that current information comes from program materials, onboard signage and casino staff. Table ratings are based on the game, your average bet and how long you play.
The April 2025 launch release also described a level above Platinum for "Tide Rollers" and "a cruise as a status perk that top players can gift or use themselves." Neither appears on the current benefits grid, so we don't list them as benefits.
Who sails on the offer
The grid shows two cruise benefits. Margaritaville doesn't explain how they relate to each other, so read the offer you receive.
| Benefit | Tiers | What the terms say |
|---|---|---|
| Complimentary or discounted cruises | All four | Offers "based on their rated casino play." Eligibility and availability are at Margaritaville's discretion, and "tier status alone does not guarantee a complimentary or discounted cruise offer." |
| Complimentary cruise fare, player and up to 3 guests | Silver, Gold, Platinum | You may bring up to three guests staying in the same stateroom, with complimentary cruise fare for you and the eligible guests. "Taxes, fees, gratuities, and other applicable charges may apply." |
| Sail with Friends | Platinum | One additional complimentary stateroom, up to an Oceanview cabin, for up to two guests on the same cruise. Subject to availability and booking restrictions; taxes, fees and gratuities may apply. |
- Packages cover twoDrink, dining, laundry and room service packages are for the player plus one guest in the same stateroom, even when four people share it on the cruise fare benefit.
- Cabin typeNot published for the main cruise fare benefit. Sail with Friends is the only benefit with a stated cabin limit (up to Oceanview).
- How oftenMargaritaville doesn't say how many sailings a year the cruise fare benefit covers, or on which ships and dates.
Because offers depend on rated play, don't count on a free cruise just for reaching Silver. Ask the Casino Specialist what your account qualifies for before you plan around it.
Free play and Reward Points
Margaritaville runs two point counts. Tier Points set your tier. Reward Points are what you spend.
- Reward PointsEarned through rated play and promotions. Every tier can redeem them for free play (Promotional casino credit for the machines. The credit itself can't be cashed out, but what you win with it can.). They have no cash value, and redemption values and thresholds aren't published.
- 90-day expiryReward Points expire 90 days after the date you earn them. Later play doesn't extend the date, and expired points are removed automatically.
- Free play offersSeparate from redeeming points: "Players may receive Free Play offers based on their rated casino play," in amounts Margaritaville decides.
- Use your cardInsert your card at slots and show it at tables. The terms say Margaritaville isn't responsible for play that isn't recorded because you didn't use it or removed it too early.
Margaritaville doesn't publish an end-of-cruise certificate. See end-of-cruise comps by line. Drinks while you play (up to $20 each, served by a casino beverage server) are covered in free casino drinks.
Match My Offer
New players can ask Margaritaville to match an offer from another cruise line or a land casino through the Players Club status match form.
- What to sendA photo or screenshot of your casino status or casino offer, with your full name and the full offer details visible, plus your name, email, phone and date of birth.
- What happensThe casino team reviews it and matches "qualified guests to the highest eligible VIP tier." If you qualify, an email with your cruise offer follows "in a few days."
- Not guaranteedThe form says the offer comes "if applicable," and it doesn't say what counts as qualified.
- ReportedCruise Radio wrote in September 2026 that matches are for actual offers rather than status alone, are judged case by case, and are capped at $1,000 in free slot play. The official form asks for "casino status or casino offer" and mentions no cap.

Rules for every offer
From the Players Club terms, which apply to all members.
- Combining"Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers may not be combined."
- PersonalOffers, points, tier status and benefits can't be transferred, sold, combined or shared unless Margaritaville allows it. Offers are non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
- One accountDuplicate accounts may be merged or closed, and duplicate credits reversed. Another person can't play on your card.
- JoiningFill in the online sign-up form, then collect your card at the Casino Host Desk with a driver's license or passport. More in opening a Margaritaville casino account.
- ChangesMargaritaville can change the program at any time, including how points are earned, tier thresholds and offers, and changes may affect benefits already earned.
- TaxesMembers are responsible for taxes on rewards, prizes and winnings, and Margaritaville may ask for tax information before issuing some rewards. See cruise casino winnings and taxes.

Age rules
- 18 to play and joinThe terms require members to be at least 18, and the FAQ says guests 18 and over can play in the casinos.
- 21 to drinkThe minimum drinking age on board is 21, so alcoholic drinks in the casino need you to be 21.
- Age on the sailing dateThe FAQ says the gambling and alcohol age is based on your age on the date of sailing. The guest who makes the booking must be 18 or older at sailing.
- No separate offer ageWe found no official minimum age for redeeming a casino cruise offer beyond these.
What you still pay
On the cruise fare benefit and Sail with Friends, the terms say "taxes, fees, gratuities, and other applicable charges may apply." The FAQ lists casino play, bar drinks, soft drinks, specialty dining and shore excursions among the things a cruise fare doesn't include.
| Cost | Official figure | Where it's from |
|---|---|---|
| Taxes, fees and required cruise fees | Not published for casino offers. The ticket contract defines Government Taxes and Fees and Required Cruise Fees and Expenses as separate from the cruise fare. | Ticket contract, FAQ |
| Gratuities | $22.00 per person per night in staterooms, $25.00 in suites, added automatically to your stateroom account. | Onboard charges page and FAQ, Oct 21, 2026 |
| Fuel supplement | $15 per person per night on Paradise and $0 on Islander, as of June 1, 2024. The contract allows up to $15 per person per day. | Onboard charges page, ticket contract |
| Service charge on purchases | 20% on services such as room service, spa, specialty dining and drinks, since February 1, 2025. | Onboard charges page |
| Guests 3 and 4 | The Silver-and-up benefit covers cruise fare for up to three "eligible guests," but tier packages cover only you and one guest. Gratuities and fuel supplements are per person. | Players Club terms |
Worked example: four guests, one stateroom, on Paradise
Gratuities of 4 × $22 plus a fuel supplement of 4 × $15 come to $148 a night, before taxes, fees and anything you buy. On Islander, with no fuel supplement, it's 4 × $22 = $88 a night. This is our arithmetic from the official rates.
The ticket contract says service gratuities are "subject to adjustment at Guest's discretion," while the FAQ calls these charges "fixed and applied to all guests." Plan to pay them. The play it takes to earn an offer usually costs more than the extras; see the cost of play.
Before you book
- Read your offer's termsThey override the program terms. Look for the book-by date, blackout dates, cabin type and any play you must do on the cruise.
- Ask what's coveredConfirm with the Casino Specialist (877-806-7447) whether the offer is complimentary or discounted, and for how many guests.
- Count the per-night chargesGratuities for everyone in the cabin, plus the fuel supplement on Paradise.
- Spend points on timeReward Points expire 90 days after you earn them.
- Check the resetTier Points go back to zero every October 1.
- Keep recordsSave your offer and confirmation, and keep your own win/loss notes for your taxes.
An offer has no value until you sail, and the play you put in to earn the next one can cost more than the offer is worth. Set a budget before you board. How Margaritaville's published terms line up with other lines: casino offers compared.
