How Buffalo Gold plays
How it plays
The twist is in the bonus: gold buffalo head symbols appear during free games and are counted, and each time the count passes a threshold another animal symbol is converted into a buffalo. Once the maximum (15 heads, per review sites) is reached, every animal pays as a buffalo, so retriggered bonuses late in a long run can produce very large totals.
Features
- Gold buffalo heads collected only during free games
- Collected heads progressively turn other animals into buffalo (review sites cite thresholds up to 15 heads)
- Classic Buffalo coin-scatter trigger and retriggers
- Revolution version adds progressives and a wheel

Tips from players and reviewers
- The head count resets with each new bonus; there is no saved progress between players, so machine choice does not matter.
- The big payouts usually need a long, retriggered bonus to reach the later conversions, so budget for many spins between meaningful wins.
- If you want progressives on top of the gold-head feature, look for the Buffalo Gold Revolution cabinets.
Tips can't change the odds of any spin. They help you pick a bet level and a machine.
Industry standing and land-casino jackpots
It took the original's formula and added a visible goal inside the bonus, and it remains one of the core titles casinos group into Buffalo areas; Aristocrat keeps reusing the gold-buffalo conversion in new games.
